Ready-to-use phenicated gentian violet solution, primary stain for Gram coloration to differentiate Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria.
Supplied in 100 mL and 250 mL bottles, suitable for routine microbiology labs as well as R&D and teaching environments.
Flammable, eye-irritant and environmentally hazardous (H226, H319, H351, H411); must be handled in a fume hood with goggles, gloves, lab coat and mask in CLP-compliant conditions, for laboratory use only.
AllChimie phenicated gentian violet is a primary stain for the Gram method, formulated as a ready-to-use phenol-containing solution. It provides intense staining of Gram-positive bacteria prior to the decolorisation step, ensuring strong contrast after counterstaining. Available in 100 mL and 250 mL bottles, it is suitable for routine microbiology, quality control and teaching laboratories. Due to its flammability, eye irritation potential and aquatic toxicity, it must be used in a fume hood with appropriate PPE under CLP-compliant safety procedures. For laboratory use only.
