Syringe filter

The syringe filters from the AllFilter range by AllChimie are designed for sample preparation before instrumental analysis. Syringe filtration is an essential step to protect HPLC/UHPLC columns, avoid clogging of analytical systems and ensure reliable results.

The sub-range covers daily needs of control, research, microbiology, analytical chemistry and production laboratories. Filters are offered in various diameters (4, 13, 25 mm) and standard porosities, with the main membrane materials: PTFE, PVDF, PES, nylon, cellulose, suited to both organic solvents and aqueous solutions, buffers and culture media.

The sterile or non-sterile versions, resistant plastic housings and Luer-Lock/Luer-Slip connections ensure secure handling and limit particulate or microbiological contamination risks. Controlled selection of diameter, porosity and material optimises flow rate, retention capacity and chemical compatibility with the matrix.

In practice, the syringe filter connects to a standard syringe that draws the sample from a test tube stored on a rack, and delivers the filtrate directly into an HPLC vial or beaker. For filtrations on larger volumes, filter membranes mounted on vacuum filtration kits offer a suitable alternative.
