Separatory funnel
The separatory funnels offered by AllChimie are designed for liquid-liquid separation of immiscible phases during extraction and washing operations. Manufactured from borosilicate glass 3.3, they provide excellent chemical resistance to the organic solvents, acids and bases encountered in the laboratory.
Each funnel features a PTFE stopcock ensuring fine flow control, with no risk of seizing or chemical attack. The ground glass stopper or PE cap guarantees tight sealing during vigorous shaking, a critical step in the extraction protocol. The graduation allows reliable reading of the resulting phase volumes.
The range covers pear and cylindrical shapes in standard capacities, from small analytical volumes (50 mL) to preparative volumes (several litres). Suited to organic chemistry, active ingredient extraction, environmental control and sample preparation in analytical chemistry.
On the bench, the separatory funnel is mounted on a laboratory support with a dedicated clamp, above a receiving Erlenmeyer flask or beaker. For intensive handling or environments where breakage risk is high, the technical plastic version (PP, PMP, PTFE) offers an unbreakable alternative.
