Coat

The laboratory coats offered by AllChimie are the basic personal protective equipment (PPE) for any laboratory work. They provide a physical barrier against reagent splashes, solvent spatters, particles and common biological hazards, while protecting personal clothing.

The range includes various materials and cuts suited to each environment: cotton coats for breathable comfort and moderate heat resistance, polyester-cotton coats (65/35) for durability and easy maintenance, and disposable nonwoven coats for occasional uses or controlled areas. Long-sleeve models with elasticated cuffs limit liquid backflow.

Protection features typically include the shirt collar, press-stud closures that are quick to undo in emergencies, useful pockets for bench tools, and a weight suited to prolonged use. For laboratories subject to specific rules (food, pharmaceutical quality control, cleanrooms), versions compliant with professional standards are available.

The coat is the first level of protection, to be complemented by the usual additional laboratory PPE: protective eyewear, gloves suited to the handled reagents, and closed shoes.
